Individual singers from participating choirs may elect a 20-minute coaching session
with one of the clinicians or a professional singer from the festival city.
Singers should come to the session with two pieces memorized. It is recommended
that the two pieces be of contrasting character and taken from art song, oratorio or Broadway repertoire.
Lessons will be offered at professional rehearsal studios or classrooms located in
the festival city.
Singers must provide their own accompanist.
Coaches will select singers to perform as finalists on the stage of the festival venue:
Carnegie Hall in New York City, Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, Tobin Center in
San Antonio, Lincoln Center in New York City, Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis,
National Cathedral in Washington, D.C or Peachtree Road United Methodist Church
A professional accompanist will be provided for the performance on the stage of the
festival venue, though singers are welcome to use their own.
Participation in solo voice lessons is optional and available on a first-come basis.
